Delete Your Account

You can permanently delete your Cache account, including its encrypted cloud backups, at any time. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.

Before you delete: your crypto is not ours to delete

Cache is a self-custody wallet. Your crypto assets live on public blockchains at your addresses. Deleting your Cache account does not, and cannot, delete them. After deletion, the only way to access those assets is your written recovery phrase. Deleting your account also deletes your encrypted cloud backups, so if you have not written your recovery phrase down, do that first: open the app, go to Settings → Wallets, select your wallet, and reveal the recovery phrase.

Delete from inside the app

• Open the Cache app and go to Settings → Delete account.
• Read the warning, which lists every backup that will be deleted, and confirm.
• Verify with your device’s fingerprint, face or passcode. The deletion cannot proceed without it.
• Your account is then deleted from our servers and the app removes all wallet data from your device.

What is deleted

Deleting your account permanently removes, for every device:

• Your account and sign-in identity (including the link to your Google or Apple sign-in).
• Your encrypted cloud backups. These cannot be recovered afterwards, by you or by us.
• Wallet records, saved contacts, device registrations and push notification tokens, active sessions, and your request history.

What cannot be deleted

• Blockchain data. Transactions you made are recorded on public blockchains that nobody, including Cache, can alter or erase.
• Infrastructure logs. Short-lived server access logs kept by our hosting and security providers age out on those providers’ retention schedules, as described in our Privacy Policy.

If you cannot access the app

Say in our Telegram group that you want to delete your account, without posting your email address or any other account details there, and an admin will reply in the group to arrange a private way to confirm the account is yours. You can also write to Cache Technologies Inc., Attn: Legal, 8 The Green, Suite B, Dover, Delaware 19901, United States. We will verify the request against your sign-in identity and complete the deletion within 30 days. We cannot delete an account we cannot verify you own, because an account controls access to encrypted wallet backups, and deleting it on an unverified request could permanently destroy someone’s recovery path.
